The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication organised a two days Workshop on “TV and Radio Production” on April 23rd and 24th, 2024 for JMC Students.
The resource person of the workshop was Mr. Pradip Kumar Sharma, Ex Technical Director, Doordarshan. In his expert talk, he explained the fundamentals of TV and Radio Productions, their practical aspects and its utilization in the various applications.
He pointed out the core importance of TV and Radio in the field of Journalism and Mass Communications. Moreover, the technicalities and fundamentals of lighting, sound, radio waves, frequency, script writing were also discussed.
At the end of the workshop HOD Incharege Mr. Ingerlos Karam motivated all the students to learn practical aspects of theoretical concepts through such types of workshops.
Outcome: The workshop presents overview of Radio and TV Broadcasting.
- The workshop covered, the basics of radio and television production which includes scripting, recording, essential equipment such as microphones, cameras, audio mixers, and editing software used in radio and TV production.
- It also covered writing scripts for radio and television, including understanding storytelling techniques, formatting, and tailoring content for specific audiences and platforms.
- Practicing techniques for effective voice modulation, pronunciation, and delivery suitable for radio and TV broadcasts were also covered.
