Brief description / remarks:    

A delegation from IARI-SKAF, Changli, Mandsaur under the leadership of Mr. N.S Sipani ji, had an intense discussion with Vice Chancellor, Brig (Dr.) Bharat Singh Rawat, Mandsaur University, Mandsaur on 31st March 2022. The objective of the meeting was to identify and discuss the agenda of MoU focusing on academic interactions, hands-on trainings, need based research activities, joint product formulations, sharing of knowledge and collaborative development of research labs. After discussion Dr. Sanjay Singh, HOD, Faculty of Agriculture Sciences welcomed all the dignitaries of today’s meeting regarding MoU. After welcome the MoU was signed in the presence of Honorable Chancellor,  Shri  Narendra ji Nahta , Dr. Shailendra Sharma, Dean Academic Affair, Dr. Sanjay Singh, HOD, Faculty of Agriculture Sciences, Dr. Jitendra Kumar, Training and Placement Coordinator, Dr. Pragati Nigam (Asst. Prof.) and Mr. Anand Rao Azad (Asst. Prof.).

After the signing of MoU, honorable Chancellor Sir put their valuable views and explained that this MoU will open the new doors in the field of innovations and need based research and also explained that this MoU will providing training, expert talk, seminar and research facilities for UG, PG and Ph.D students of Mandsaur University, at SKAF, availing Rural Awareness Work Experience (RAWE) and Experience Learning Programme (ELP) facility to B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture students.  Vice Chancellor, Brig (Dr.) Bharat Singh Rawat, Mandsaur University also put his thought over MoU and said that  the mandate crops of Sipani Krishi Anusandhan Farm are wheat, maize, pigeon pea and soybean. The scientists of SKAF have large numbers of germplasm of determinate and indeterminate types of pigeon pea, wheat maize and soybean for development of new genetic stock and varieties. SKAF is maintaining 450 germplasm of both Triticum aestivium L. and Triticum durum L. species having huge variability in different traits. Thus, this research farm is conducting significant research work in the region on above mentioned mandatory crop and also said that this MoU will be very valuable as it may pave a road ahead for a fruitful collaboration between the two organizations.
