Brief description / remarks:
An Induction/Orientation Programme was organized by the Faculty of Agriculture Sciences for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture First year Students on 06th August 2022 (Saturday) in LH-04 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The programme started at 10:15 AM with Saraswati Poojan and new entrants were felicitated and welcomed by Mr. Pankaj Dunge. A total of 38 newly admitted students were present in the Hall.
The programme was organized to make the students aware of their academic aspects, scope of the courses, major achievements of the department. At 10:15 AM, Director Agriculture Dr. R.C, Verma welcomed all the newly admitted students and introduced all the faculty members to the students. Further, He explained the scope and importance of B.Sc. (Hons.)Ag, education with respect to all the minute details about Agriculture Education system as per V Dean’s committee of ICAR including distribution of courses, system of examination and evaluation, computation of results, examination rules, syllabus, scheme, passing criteria, promotion rules, academic calendar, etc. He also emphasized upon different Curricular and Co-curricular activities at departmental and University level in detail for personality building and developing confidence in students through Power Point Presentation. Mr. Pankaj Dunge explained about internship, placement opportunities and industrial exposure.
One by one interaction with faculty member were also held and faculties gave clarification of each query which asked by students.
The programme ended with vote of thanks given by Assistant professor Pankaj Dunge.
Outcome: Motivation of First Year Students and making them aware about the scope and importance of B.Sc.(Hons. ) Ag. Programme, system of education, examination and evaluation system, passing criteria, etc.
